Exchange year in Canada/ATJ in Kanada

Exchange year in Canada/Québec I’ve been thinking for a long time, to do an Exchange year. Ultimately in the last moment , I decided to realize it. I decidet to go to Québec.I have choosen the organisation ASSE/iST Heidelberg.I have found this organisation on a job fair.
Since August, 13th 2009 I’ve been here. The time passes very fast. There are only a few days, until I will fly back to Germany.
The first two weeks, I stayed at Montréal on a Summer Camp of ASSE.
There I lived with a really nice woman, together with two other exchange students. The woman' s name is Nathalie and she has one daughter .By the way, the two were super sporty. The two Exchange Students were called Renée and Violetta.Renée also comes from Hamburg (like me).We were very happy to stay with Nathalie. We have done great matters in our spare time as parashooting.
Sums up the whole time we have eaten only fruits and vegetables. In the morning she made us always a delicious crêpe filled with fruits and hot chocolate or hot cereals with fruit and yoghurt.Lunch and dinner, we only ate fruits
Nevertheless, she has really only ate fruits and vegetables that do not the majority in Canada. After two weeks in Montréal, I flew to Québec.
According to plan, I should have met my permanent host family, where I should live for the following five months, as soon as I've arrived at the Québec Airport.

All were picked up by their host family [unless I]except me .My host family probably thought, that it was not necessary to come to the Airport and pick me up, or had better things to do.So I have been picked up of a woman from my organisation. When I arrived, they just said a normal Hello but nothing else. She has not once asked me how I'm doing or how the flight was.
My room, I had to find myself.
For my feeling, there was no single nice word. There was also another exchange student. She calls Veronika. She comes from a Austria. She is a very nice girl and I like her.Now we still do a lot together. There was just a little stupid thing, for only two days before, I was told, that I stay there with another exchange student too (Veronika). I felt right before fu**ed as far as I remember, I only stayed two weeks in that family.
We have really done almost nothing, except watching TV.One time we went to the horses. But we have done nothing with the horses. But in that 2 weeks pretty much happened, which was not so nice. For Insider, there is a milk story ,a jackstory, socks story and bedstory.^^“
Thanks God” I have broken my finger and they did not want to go to the doctor with me.
But I wanted to go to the doctor in any case. So I went to the doctor in school time. Respectively the school director has driven me to a doctor.Later, he has asked Veronika and me, if everything was okay. Veronika has told him all the stories.I was not able to do it.The school director told me, that there’s a surprise waiting for me, when I go home. When I came home, there was Lisa, the woman of my organisation.
She picked me up from my old host family.Fortunately I was allowed to stay at Lisa' s home till I have found a new permanent homestay.
She is a nice person and she has a very beautifull house.

Thanks God, I quickly met a very nice girl. :D
Julie!
To me she was really like a rescue angel.
She offered me to stay with her, which I have gladly accepted. Julie has two nice and a bit crazy big brothers and a nice mum and a nice dad.The rest of the family is very nice too.We are making great things together and we always eat very tasty meals.
I am super happy to stay here and I can not imagine a better host family! They gave me a warm reception
We have done snow mobile, we lived 3 days in a forest
( without electricity or such other things ), we visited Québec City, we visited Old Québec, we went shopping and did many other nice things. They have even bought me a new wardrobe. And in addition to that, I also think it is very kind of them to always ask how I 'm doing and how my parents are doing, and if I do probably need something.
If I would not have found such a great host family, I think I would have flown home.
In a few years, I would like to make another exchange year again. I want to go to an English- or Spanish-speaking country.
I hope I will be given the chance to live again within such a great Family.

Christmas and New Year at Home

Christmas and new year is a little different in Germany than in Quebec. From the first of December to 24th of December, we have a christmas wreath. On this whreath , there are 4 candles. Every week until Christmas, we light one more candle. We celebrate Christmas with the whole family like here. However, we have no cultural christmas tree. Our christmas trees remain as they are.The christmas decoration is monochrome and maybe you can find 2 colors on our christmas tree.In addition , we have real candles on our christmas tree. It looks very romantic. In Germany on Christmas time it’s important that everything is romantic and beautiful. For us it’s the time of reflection. The days before Christmas we usually visit beautiful Christmas markets. They are very big, when you compare them with those here in Canada. There you can buy beautiful Christmas things or something to eat and drink. A few people go to church. In the night from the 5th to the 6th of December the Nicolaus is coming. When you cleaned your shoes, he puts nice things like chocolate, nuts and clementines in your shoes.Of course, we celebrate christmas with the whole family. We eat together a roast and after it, we distribute gifts. After the 24th of December my mum and I visit a few relatives.I can’t remember, that I have ever celebrated christmas with my father…

New year is every year the same at home in Germany. In the afternoon until early evening, I'm out with my friends. In the evening I move with my family up to 12 clock. At 12 clock I get together with my family and have a little celebration with my family in the new year.Of course, we make a big firework display, as is fitting for us in Germany. At 1 to 2 o’ clock , I drive to a discothec. There I celebrate the new year with my friends. The next day, I don't do so much.I sleep off and after it I go to my horses.

Personal entries/ Germany

Germany is in the middle of Europe. The capital of Germany is Berlin and our chancellor is a woman. Her name is Angela Merkel. I was born in Hamburg. Now I live in Schleswig-Holstein.I love Germany and I want to life there for ever.Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein are for me the most beautiful places. The name of the City, where I life is Quickborn. The distance from Quickborn to Hamburg is 15-20 minutes with the car.Well it‘s close. When I want to make party, I go to the Maxx or to the Reeperbahn. The Maxx is one of the most famous discothecs from Germany. The Reeperbahn is known for being a place , where you really can make big party. But Hamburg has even more to offer than parties. There is something for everyone there.I think, that I can’t imagine a life without my Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.That is my little world.Nevertheless, I would like to travel a lot in my life.I would like to visit each country once. But I would always return to Germany.Although my father is Japanese, I do not have a connection to Japan.Of course I want to travel to Japan from time to time. But I could never imagine to live there forever.

A Place to visit

If I had the chance, I would make a voyage to Japan and Dubai.
I can´t decide, which country I prefer to visit.
Both countries are very interesting. They are far away and they have completly different civilizations than in Germany or Canada. The way of living, the culture, the climate, the architecture, the religion and some other things are different in comparison with the German civilization.I don´t want to visit Japan only because of the culture. My father lives in Japan. He visits me 1 or 2 times in the year, but I´ve never been in Japan. And I´ve never seen my Japanese grandparents. Maybe I will be able to visit my family in Japan. My father has asked me several times, whether I want to visit Japan. But I always said -No-. But for a few months, my big wish is to see the other part of my family.
Next year, maybe I have the chance to visit my Japanese family.I hope my father will ask me again this year , whether I want to travel with him to Japan. I think, it will be very interesting. I am going to know my family in Japan and a complete new country!
In this country, there are parts of my roots. It´s incredible for me![ Of course Japan(for my english teacher)]
I am interested to visit Dubai for many reasons...
I think, it´s one of the richest countries in the world. The climate is groovy and the people, who live there are very interesting.I think, the orient would put a spell on me.
If I had the chance, I would visit the hotel “Burj al Arab“.It´s the most expensive hotel in the world! It looks so wonderful.Simply magnificent! The two countries are a level-headness. I hope, that I can sometimes visit these 2 countries! I hope I can visit these two countries one day.[I don't want to visit Japan and Dubai sometimes ;) (for the englisch techer again)]

Showjumping

In germany showjumping is as well as dressage very popular. Much people prefer showjumping to dressageriding. I think, They prefer showjumping, because it´s more action compared with dressage. On the other hand, in contrast to showjumping dressageriders may not show, how they get the horses move. All things have to be invisibly and discretly. And by the way, the best jumpers in the world originale in Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany. That is why this bloodstock of horses are called “Holsteiner”. And I am on the lucky position of owning a Holsteiner. =) Many showjumpers all oder tue world uze to buk horses from germany, directly from Schleswig-Holstein. A few people come to germany, to train there horses too. If you take part a showjumpingcompetition, your horse and you have to overcome several obstacles. The obstacles can be high, wide or even both. While overcoming the obstacles in such a jumping competition, you will have to pass single obstacles in wider distance as well as combinations of two to five obstacles but in very short distance. We classificy normal jumping from crossjumping. Such categories of showjumping competitions or cross jumping take place since the beginning of the 19th. century. The typical equipe of showjumpers as known nowadays are there since 1968 (Mexiko). If you are a horsesportsman, you train your eyes, your physical control, equilibrium sense and a few muscles.

dressageriding

dressageriding is dancing, gymnastic and competetive sport in one
Lots of people say, dressageriding is only nice to see. But this kind of sport is not a real sport.
They say , that you only sit on a horse and do nothing.
That´s false . The persons who have taken a real riding lesson, with a good teacher, know that!
If you do the real equestrian sport and not riding as a Hobby, with the correspondingly difficult lessons, it´s much more different and sweaty.
If you reach a certain level it´s a competetive sport for the horse and the rider.
If you ride, you train your body tension, capability of coordination, muscles and mastery.
In this kind of sport, you train and tense muscles, that you don´t train in the most other kinds of sports. And you can´t train those musclesgroups in a fitnesscenter too.
